Managing Volumes
Volume Snapshots
You can preserve the current state of a virtual machine's file system or user data by creating a snapshot of a volume. For instance, taking a snapshot of a boot volume before updating virtual machine software is essential. This way, if any issues arise, you can revert the virtual machine to a functional state. A snapshot taken from a data volume can be utilized for backing up user data and for testing purposes.
Create a Snapshot of a Volume
- On the Volumes page, click the required Volume.
- Click the "Create Snapshot" button in the window that opens on the right.
- The snapshot will be created automatically. You can see it on the Snapshots page.
