Managing Volumes

Volume Snapshots

You can preserve the current state of a virtual machine's file system or user data by creating a snapshot of a volume. For instance, taking a snapshot of a boot volume before updating virtual machine software is essential. This way, if any issues arise, you can revert the virtual machine to a functional state. A snapshot taken from a data volume can be utilized for backing up user data and for testing purposes.

Create a Snapshot of a Volume

  1. On the Volumes page, click the required Volume.
  2. Click the "Create Snapshot" button in the window that opens on the right.
  3. The snapshot will be created automatically. You can see it on the Snapshots page.

Managing Snapshots

After creating a snapshot, you can perform the following actions;

  • Create a Volume
  • Create a Image
  • Revert to Snapshot
  • Edit Snapshot
  • Delete Snapshot
